The word philately comes from the French philatelie, which was thought by George Herpin, it's coiner, to be better than timbromanie (Stamp Mania). I think we agree. Philotely is derived from the greek philo to like, and ateleia to be exempt from taxes and duties.
At Mark Bloxham Stamps, we are a little of both, we like stamps, and we are sometimes a bit crazy about them too! On this site you will find thousands upon thousands of stamps, RAF Covers, and interesting Postal History items.
We are also adding many new articles and information on Great Britain's stamps. Each category has introductory information on the stamps you'll find there. You can also visit the site map to see what articles we have collected. We are also creating an index of our British Stamp specimens in list form
